The message of the work is a reflection on the concept of identity and gender in an increasingly standardized society. The irony lies in using an icon of uniformity, such as the soldier, to celebrate fluidity and the absence of clear boundaries between masculine and feminine, between the individual and the collective. The viewer is invited to reflect on how social conventions can be subverted through art and fashion.
